Made by Madeleine is a bakery founded by Madeleine, a passionate baker with a love for pastries and traditional baking. After growing frustrated with the quality of ingredients commonly found in American baked goods, she set out to create a bakery that held itself to the same standard she admired in Europe- using simple, high quality ingredients to make pastries that taste as good as they look. What began as a small home bakery gradually grew into a beloved neighborhood shop, built on a commitment to quality and care
For the overall identity, the goal was to create something that felt classic while still feeling fresh and personal enough to reflect the story behind the bakery. The color palette combines warm pastry inspired tones with a fresh green, bringing together the richness of baked goods with the freshness of quality ingredients. Paired with the hand drawn illustrations, the identity is approachable, intentional, and true to the bakery's values..
I created a series of hand drawn illustrations that feel as though they came straight from the bakery itself. Rather than acting as decoration, the drawings become part of the brand's personality, reflecting the same care, patience, and attention that goes into each pastry. I wanted the identity to feel warm and thoughtfully made from start to finish.
